after 2 weeks in germany i’m finally back home.

funny, how only 4 months after moving to shanghai, it really does feel like coming home. a good thing, i’d say.

the two weeks were intense to say the least. lots of work, lots of catching up with my favourite people in frankfurt, nuernberg and muenster. and of course seeing the family.

i got back yesterday, went straight to the office, worked late and then – of course – spent a sleepless night due to severe jetlag.

what’s a girl to do in that kind of situation. well, if you know me – of course – read.

so i read three books this week thus far, some of them very good read. all differenct genres.

i started the week out with ‘Grabkammer’ by Tess Gerritsen. Top notch crime, intense and i read through that on a single afternoon last Monday.

the most boring read was Hohlbein’s Infinity. What an utter disappointment – and he calls it ‘the book i’ve always wanted to write’. well, if that’s the case, you and I, Mr. Hohlbein, will part ways from now on. boredom.

and then finally i managed to finish Plato and Platypus Walk into a Bar. Funny, short and an easy read.
