it’s been a beautiful october weekend in shanghai. lots of sun, outside activities and joy.
we started the weekend by dinner at the southern barbarian with lots of delicious yunnan food and tsing tao. afterwards we headed on to Lola where we danced until the early morning.
as Saturday had a great weather forecast, we met up at 11 to head out on a bike tour to chongming island. after checking it out on google maps, it seemed like a reasonable 30km ride through the city to the ferry terminal. it turned into a 3hour ride and the ferry didn’t run, so we never actually made it to chongming, however, it definitely wasn’t a wasted day.
we rode back by the huangpu into pudong and then made our way back to luwan from there.
finished the day with dinner at pho asia and a movie.
i watched the runaways and loved it. maybe i really need to teach myself playing the guitar.
Today was another beautiful day, which we started again at 11 at Casa 13 for their freeflow bellinis and mimosas. we had both and plenty. a nice, sunny rooftop location with decent food and good company.
finished the day with a massage and now making another effort to stop this cold before it settles down.
leaving you with an alltime 80s fav:
