My recent HongKong trip was for business, but it still ended up being up there on the excitement scale. I managed to get in right in time before the Typhoon warning level got upgraded to an 8, only to be a full on 10 later that night, the strongest HongKong saw in 13 years.
So my trip activities were cut short, however, I was lucky enough to stay in a very nice place, the East Hotel.
It’s a bit further out on HongKong island in Taikoo Shing, however, it’s nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Central and also, I’ll take a nice hotel over a nice location for the most part. (ideally, you’d get both, right…)
… and I did manage to squeeze in some shopping, too…

and last but not least: I came across the bestest book art. I wonder if this could be a re-create DIY project for the not too distant future.
