Last Sunday came along with 35C and sunshine and I met up with some friends for brunch at Azul. It just reopened next door to Ferguson Lane and has a fantastic brunch deal for 148RMB with two courses, a coffee and any other drink.
But – that’s besides the point. After brunch we went for a leisurely stroll down Tai’An Lu and dropped into ‘A Room Vintage’. It’s hidden in lane 120 no. 15 and you have to ring the doorbell to be let in. This leads you into a lush and shady backyard with lots of seatings options and then into the most adorable little cafe I’ve been to in Shanghai in a while. The menu is short, but sweet. The service is great. And you can buy mostly everything you see.
