No summer of love is complete without a wedding weekend getaway to Mallorca. Inviting all your friends to come out to celebrate one epic party with you is a great idea. And it’s exactly I went to celebrate on the last weekend in August.
Finca Fangar proved to be an outstanding location. Around a 45 minute drive from Mallorca’s capital Palma to the north and you are in the middle of the Mallorcan hinterlands. The ground is dry, windy roads connect little villages and a light breeze pushes puffy clouds along the sky. The ocean is never more than 30 minutes away, and the relative distance to any neighbors ensures you can boogie down until the clouds turn purple. In other words: until the sun comes up. The pool invites for a splash during the day and eventually at night the dance floor will spill over into it.
The inner courtyard is a lovely dinner setting. In this case also much owed to the decoration and design talent of the bride – but the foundation is a solid base to start off.
The Mallorca wedding weekend started at a beach club on a Friday night. The air was cool and the Sangria cooler. Feet in the sand (actually.. man.. I can’t stand sand – and I know that’s super weird!) and a cocktail in hand. A great place to start the weekend, mingle, reconnect and set the tone for the weekend.
The Mallorca Wedding highlight, of course, was the The Day Of! A relaxed yet festive outdoor seating arrangement were perfect for the informal wedding lead by the best men of bride and groom.
The dress code here was summer-festive so I chose this &OtherStories dress for the beach party and wore a The Kooples dress, this YSL Chain Wallet and these Linda Farrow sunnies for the actual wedding.
