read * Bike Snob – Systematically & Mercilessly

My most recent read is Bike Snob. I picked this up during my recent Hawaii trip and it’s been a joyful read! If you read his Blog you’ll have an idea of what you’re in for.

It is insanely funny, covers all known (and unknown) stereotypes and I found myself more the once in between the pages.

This book had me laughing out loud, staying up way too late and reconsidering my approach to cycling. After my taxi collision last week, I’ve been trying to stick to the rules of traffic (using my brake every so often and acknowledging red lights, when traffic was coming) and bought an estimated 8kg lock that I drag around with me at all times. One stolen bike is enough, after all.

And it makes you look at your co-cyclers with a winking eye – all stereotypes can be seen on a daily basis in the streets of Shanghai. Read it!
