I’ve been reading a lot lately and last weekend was a crime weekend.
I started out on Saturday with Tess Gerritsen’s Blutmale (english title – The Mephisto Club) and it sadly was a bit of a drag. I had high expectations to start out with, as I just recently finished her book Grabkammer last month, as discussed here.
However, the only great thing about this one was to meet all these dabulous characters again. Detective Rizzoli and her friend Maura make this a bit a tiny bit better, but the story seems very constructed and far fetched.

After that one I then wanted to give Mrs. Gerritsen another try, as I still had a go at Scheintot (english title – Vanish) on Sunday.

this one was exactly what I was expecting. Scary to point that I felt the need to draw my curtains in the evening and lock the door. A fabulous storyline and gruesome killings. If you’re looking for some really good crime over Christmas, I’d recommend to go with this one.
